Thank you from Dina!
To all of the wonderful friends, family, sponsors, and supports of the race - please see Dina's note below-
Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by yesterday’s DoitforDina’s 5K. There are no words that can express my emotions then or now. I was so touched to see so, so many people there - people I have not seen in many years, as well as people I see often; people from as far away as Japan and as close as down the street; people as close as my immediate family and people who have never even met me. It was a day I will never ever forget, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude and love. Thank you John, Dan, and Lauren for all the hard work and love that went into making the event such an amazing success. Thank you to every single one of you out there for your prayers, cards, donations, food, calls, visits, solidarity t-shirts, gifts, posts on facebook, texts, and just love. Those that couldn’t be there were still there in spirit, and I thank you all too. I find it ironic that such a beautiful and amazing day was experienced due to such a devastating and terrible disease. I will go into surgery on Fridaywith my heart overflowing with all your positive energy and love – this cancer never stood a chance. Sure, I might have lost my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and soon more – but this horrible disease will never take my heart. I love you all and regardless of what happens in the future that is what truly matters to me.
